On August 4, 2023, Chester County Futures hosted our engaging workshop called “InTheLoop™” for their students. This innovative workshop, facilitated by Web Collaborative x Infinity Gritty, utilized live-looping music as a unique tool to foster improved communication, collaboration, and creativity among our students. Here’s a description of what took place during this exciting event:

InTheLoop™ for Teams: What does your organization sound like?

“InTheLoop™” is a music-based creative facilitation for teams that encourages participants to collectively create the sounds of their organization. This workshop aimed to merge the worlds of music and the workplace in an interactive and dynamic way.

During the InTheLoop virtual conference, our students, as team members, were guided through a creative process. They created their own sound samples based on prompts related to organizational topics such as goals, projects, and culture. Importantly, no prior music experience was required, making this a highly inclusive and accessible activity.

These inspired sound samples were then incorporated into a live-produced musical composition by a professional producer. This improvised track was created in real-time and reflected the unique sound and feeling of the organization, which, in this case, is Chester County Futures.

After the music-making session, the participating teams had an opportunity to reflect on the music they had collectively created and the sound choices they had made. This reflection phase aimed to uncover new perspectives and insights about our organization, allowing our students to communicate about their experiences, form common bonds, and build an authentic organizational culture.
